I hope you had a chance to catch Geek Today talk evening! last night. All geeks there were winners can be seen in the GeekOvation Awards and compete in Brian Madden Geek Out game show (and some of the best snacks at the conference Beer and pretzels enjoy).
Citrix Technology Professional Jo Harder facilitates GeekOvation Awards to recognize best-in-show Citrix Hacks Citrix users. Five GeekJudges narrowed the field of entries based on geekiness, innovation and business value. presented the three finalists, and the audience voted for the winner on Twitter. Finalist contain:
- January Tytgat and Roel writer of the Netherlands for NetScaler CoreLogic
- Warren Simondson of Australia for RealWorld solutions with Citrix HDX mobile
- Mads Petersen Denmark for decoding NTLM for fun and profit with Lync
Congratulations to Mads Petersen award-winning not only for GeekOvation, but also for his crazy HTML string, possibly the longest ever written on a PowerPoint slide in the history of the world. And thanks to our CTP GeekJudges Theresa Miller, Esther Barthel, Paul Stansel, Chris Rogers and Neil Spellings-for getting into the spirit of competition. (No, that was not a Jedi Knight, only one man in a brown robe.)
Congratulations also to Citrix Partner Patrick Coughlin of Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions, which tested its IT brilliance against a number of his colleagues and winners as Top Geek emerged in the Geek Out-game show. Patrick is now the proud owner of Tetris lamp thanks to its brilliant performance. And special thanks to Brian Madden for the show-it is always a highlight at Synergy.
Best of Citrix Synergy Awards
GeekOvation and Geek Out game show winners were not the only geeks be recognized this week. Media TechTarget hosted the best of Citrix Synergy Awards 2016 awarded the most outstanding products on display in the Solutions Expo. The products were judged on innovation, functionality and performance, and value and awarded in four categories and an overall Best of Show. Brian Madden announced the finalists and winners at the award ceremony in the Expo Solutions afternoon.
