We are a few days in 2016, but the XenServer product group the new year running with a technical preview release has hit: TP2. This is an update to the initial release last year, but before I go into detail on that , it is worthwhile to take a moment some of the things we in 2015
reached The year began with a marked XenServer product release (v6.5) contains, among other things, new product releases, some new features and a number of performance and scalability improvements.
XenApp customer (licensee) were also for the first time, use the title XenServer functions without the need for a XenDesktop license. Now all Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop customers have access to licensed and supported XenServer features as part of their existing Citrix license agreements . No additional licenses are necessary, nor support contracts, making it easy for customers their application and desktop infrastructures with XenServer to power: a platform that already scaled on the needs of our customers (unless of course you are try to run a maximum of 1,000 VMs per host).
May 2015 saw the release of XenServer 6.5 SP1, achieve even greater performance and scalability improvements and some new features! vgpu to have Not content delivered with our NVIDIA GRID about 18 months before any other hypervisor vendors support, support for GRID vgpu meetings 96. In addition, we expanded introduced NVIDIA GPU pass-thru for Linux, used in Linux applications enables enhanced graphics many customers. The expansion of the graphic theme, support for Intel GVT-d has been introduced, which is the Intel native "on-chip" GPU Pass-Thru technology, require no add-on GPU cards and is ideal for modest graphics requirements in XenApp based implementations an introduction of Intel's underneath.

block-based storage thin provisioning, SMB for Storage Repositories, NFS v4 and Open FCoE support offer some interesting new storage configuration options and offline VM storage migrations help infrastructure for administrators easier. Similarly, a new infrastructure Health check- allows administrators to get a "heads-up" on common infrastructure problems such as misconfiguration, outdated drivers and new patches available.

Summit & PTEC
Citrix Summit 2016 in Las Vegas has just wrapped, and there have been many announcements and large XenServer Citrix Sales & Partner discussions. This year I spent time with the team solutions Sandbox demo, with any XenServer related Demos & help Q & A that arose. I mention this for those of you not aware that the solutions sandbox demos based on the Citrix Demo Center, a facility that is on Citrix partner for solution demos available. The infrastructure of the Demo Center support all based on XenServer and provides all kinds of Citrix Demos of functional XenApp, XenDesktop and NetScaler to performance HDX 3D ones.
There was great ISV exhibitors in the listening exhibition hall either demonstrates new support for XenServer or the intention to stresses so within the short term future to do and is safe as XenServer considered more widely, and to the customer XenApp and XenDesktop power infrastructures adopted.
