XenMobile - WorxChat

Citrix XenMobile provides WorxChat a new application in the suite of Worx applications with which you can enable the end-user with Enterprise instant messaging on a mobile device in a secure container and with a simple end user and with full admin control. This will be a Tech Preview edition of the release, in which you will have a XenMobile WorxChat server and client applications WorxChat

We have two components here .:

1. . WorxChat Server
2. WorxChat mobile applications

WorxChat Server .:

WorxChat server is a broker between servers the WorxChat mobile clients and the Lync Server WorxChat Server Unified Communications Managed API (UCMA) use 4.0 RunTime to communicate the Lync Server. To start the installation on WorxChat server, we need to have the following requirements in place

Prerequisites .:

1. you need to install Lync 2013 server and work in your. Enterprise Domain
2. you need a domain windows have servers connected UMCA and WorxChat server install

   1. recommendation is Windows 2012 server. (Is recommendation MSSQL 2012 have)

4. you need to run a MSSQL server connected to a domain computer (it should be part of the same domain, one of the Lync Server).
5. you need the FQDN of the Windows server to determine in advance where you install UCMA and WorxChat server application pool FQDN that create server WorxChat on Lync. You need a SAN certificate with both FQDN of the install from the Enterprise CA server to issue and the pfx export of the CA and the WorxChat Server as the computer account

to install steps WorxChat server .:

1. Once the conditions for UCMA 4.0 Runtime are installed, install the downloaded UCMA 4.0 Runtime on the WorxChat Server.
2. Make sure that the UCMA.exe Run file as an administrator.

3. After 4.0 the UCMA is installed, you need to install PFX SAN certificate on this Windows computer. You can follow the steps here to create

a SAN certificate

Steps / Install Import SAN certificate on WorxChat bootstrap server .:

1. to the SAN Import (pfx) certificate on the server WorxChat.
2. Open MMC. From the MMC console, click on File> Add / Remove Snap-in ...

3. Off the Add or Remove snap-ins pop up, select Certificates from available snap-ins and click Add and then click OK.

4. from the Certificates snap-in click the radio button Computer account and click Next.

5. from the computer to select the Local Computer option radio button select popup and click Finish.

6. from the console tree pane under Certificates (Local Computer), expand Personal, and click Certificates. In the right pane, right click, page click All Tasks> Import.

7. Browse pfx certificate that you created and saved to your local hard drive.

8. Enter the password, make sure you check the box key as exportable and close all the advanced features and click Next.

9. Select the certificate in the Personal folder and click Next.

10. Finish to complete the installation of the certificate.

11. You like that in staff confirm> Certificates folder

Steps to Install WorxChat Server

1. Download the WorxChat Server on the Citrix Downloads site.
2. Run the installation file as an administrator. If you agree with the terms, select the check box and click Install.

3. , you can see above the installation. In this process there is the required services.

4. install Once the services are installed, the wizard will install the WorxChat Server. Click Next to continue the installation.

5. During installation, WorxChat its database installed. You need to provide the FQDN of the database server is available

Remarks :.

1. In our laboratory we have installed Windows SQL Server on the same computer where we install the WorxChat server.
2. As part of the pre-req, make sure that your SQL Server is part of the same domain where you are installing the server WorxChat and where is your Lync Server.
3. If you want to use a remote SQL server (on a domain member server), you need to make sure to create privileges, so Worx Chat Computers and Law has read privileges. You can see more here.

Wrapping the WorxChat application.

Once the installation is complete, download the app WorxChat Citrix downloads and wrap the application of MDX Toolkit. You can follow the steps here to wrap an application.

Enable push notification for WorxChat.

After you wrap the WorxChat apps, you must enable push notification apps for WorxChat.

1. in tech preview, log on XenMobile Tools Portal with your MyCitrix credentials.

2. Post Login, Click Manage push notifications.

3. Select the region you are from and click Next.

Subscribe to the end user XenMobile environment and install the app from WorxChat Worx shop and need to configure it to
