only to encapsulate how unique that is, only about 0 other hospitals in the United States have achieved this goal. As an advocate for health care here at Citrix, I'm proud of that because 98 percent of the level 7s are Citrix customers!
What is amazing is that patients who are the main beneficiaries of this progress in healthcare IT. If doctors and nurses have access to a medical record of the patient, they can more quickly to reach a diagnosis to avoid unnecessary testing to customize a treatment plan and a help patients immediately begin to heal.
Although doctors and nurses access to a history of the patient, they can avoid complications by prescribing the wrong type or dosage of a drug. Increasingly, patients are given access to their own patient health records, enabling them to better manage their own health and inspire them an active role in their own well-being and healing to take.
To give you a brief understanding of why hospitals follow this mandate, let me tell you first about HIMSS. If you are not familiar with it, HIMSS is the most influential organization in healthcare today. It is a non-profit organization - and not as a federal authority - which helps realistic technology standards for healthcare organizations define. The organization also suggests ways to achieve these goals.
The HIMSS Analytics Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) was especially created to help hospitals around the world bring their progress tracking in the implementation and use fully the capabilities of their electronic medical records (EMR). The model allows them to benchmark themselves. Against similar hospitals on several parameters, including the size and geography
