Windows 10-optimized for XenDesktop -

Statistics are fun.

It's amazing what an interesting insight you get from the statistics . For example:

  1. would Approximately 20% of workers work harder if their employer offered a $ 1,000 shopping spree at the store of their choice (you hear that Citrix? 😉)
  2. so watch
  3. Approximately 20% of people looking at the super Bowl do for football, watching the rest commercials
  4. Approximately 20% of spending worldwide machine copy caused by people sitting on them - that's awesome
  5. in the past year, my blogs are 20% funnier

And my absolute favorite statistic is Homer Simpson (who else?) .:

people with may Statistics all Kent, know forty percent of all people that prove

We have a Windows 10 optimization Guide was to provide. of Windows 10 optimization guide was focused on the identification, for VDI, as many of the extra components, server density would adversely affect, while focusing on the balance of the user experience, as best in the XenApp Practice stated: For the best combination of ease of use and optimize resource usage appropriately.

in the course of several blog posts, we looked to optimize the following points:

  1. Default apps
  2. services
  3. Scheduled tasks
  4. User interface
  5. runtime
  6. released
  7. ICA

"What these changes have impact?"

First, it gave me something to blog (This is a big deal. After 5+ years of blogging, I'm out of ideas. In the indeed, I believe that this blog 201 Citrix)

But most of you probably care more about the second part. What the impact on server density? And for that, my minions, I mean the Citrix Solutions Lab, took over. (We joke that the Citrix Solutions Lab should be renamed to "Feller Lab" because it seems like they do a lot of testing for me - sorry for them).

for the number of tests we had two different strategies, one would on the Citrix "High Server Scalability" policy setting simply turn. This corresponded to Part 7 of the Windows 10-optimization blog.

The second policy we were 10 optimizations any Windows application we discussed in Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the 10 optimization blog series of Windows.

  • to the Citrix turn scalability policy, gave us a 10% [1945007Bump] in user density.
  • turn on the custom OS optimization policy gave us almost another 10% bump in the density.
  • on possible these two options Turning roughly 20% more users on our physical host.

Definitely not a bad start.
