Citrix NetScaler CPX a lightweight alternative for cloud providers -

Citrix NetScaler, a full Application Delivery Controller (ADC) has recently launched a new, lighter version of itself.

Made to fit small scale cloud applications and container-style implementations, the new CPX is a micro-form of NetScaler.

The CPX is light and is easier to put into production than the traditional ADC. Development teams can adjust the exact product and configure, which will be available online and will be able to regain confidence, as it is as intended. Since CPX is built from the same code and management API as the existing NetScaler ADC, but it improves your operational efficiency; does not require retrofitting or changes to homegrown and management tools acquired.

So, what features are supported in the new CPX? The first preview version brings our two most popular functions: L4 & L7 load balancing and SSL encryption. The final product, this year is still supported for complete NetScaler feature set.

The dynamic scale of today's cloud-based services, with the need to reduce the time to add new services while receiving an even shorter product life cycle, the CPX makes a perfect fit in this new paradigm. This new product is built on industry-leading standards like Docker container and XML / JSON web-based API, making it both a minimal need for new resources, while also being the safest.

Because this product is designed, you are working with other NetScaler form factors, I can see scenarios that use different versions for very different purposes. For example, a service frontend to the hardware-based SSL performance and granular multi-tenancy, ensuring protection of NetScaler SDX, while back-end applications using the container-based product accessibility to the resources in high demand.

, the limited edition of the CPX is already mentioned by Q1 2016 and the start of production is expected near the middle of the year. to get to your Citrix sales team, if interested, the new fine-grained try light output of NetScaler in the growing container-based cloud environment.
