Receiver for HTML5 is a clientless receiver that runs in a browser. Applications that open onto a XenApp server in the same browser tab on the endpoint. To easily between applications in a browser tab, you only need to use the app switcher.

The app switcher for the client side is introduced in HTML5 receiver 2.0. Until now, there had to be installed on the VDA with a separate package that installs the App Switcher exe file. The installed VDA app switcher uses a processor-intensive enumeration to identify the list of running applications in the session.

HTML5 receiver 2.0 Bundles this function within the receiver HTML5. The app switcher must not be installed as a separate executable file on the VDA. The new app switcher is fully implemented on the client side, which reduces the load on the VDA. Beforehand VDA installed app switcher should take advantage of the new client-side app switcher away

client side app switcher runs in two modes .:

1. Taskbar mode
2. Grid -view mode

Both are enabled by default.

Taskbar mode

This mode is for meetings optimized running on desktops. For applications of the same VDA started, the taskbar facilitate easy navigation between applications.

The taskbar displays all applications that are currently running in the session, so that users between them to switch applications.
