Citrix loves to communities. At this Citrix Synergy conference this year we were hosts to teach local Las Vegas middle school and high school classes children of microcontrollers and robotics. With Citrix Octoblu IoT platform, a class of 5th graders an Intel Arduino Power could push to Talk Video walkie-talkie in less than 0 minutes!
At first build a sound Internet of Things (IoT) class to thirty 5th graders teaching a little daunting; However, we expanded the curriculum in four phases, the demonstrated success at every step of the process. This short course learned the basics in hardware and software in small (but fun) steps
Step 1 :. We brought the children, such as an LED on the Arduino microcontroller and flash to fix it at any speed
Step 2 :. Next we taught the children how a button to the LED light to join them there to turn on and off. As you can tell from the photo below, the children enjoyed their services
Step 3: shifted Next we Software and taught the children how the laptop to snap camera to activate on WebRTC photos of the person
key step 4 :. , the last part of the exercise was to networking all the chats in a single space video chat with Octoblu.
Mission Accomplished! the roomful 5th Grader was much press los chat with entertainment while with their friends micro controller buttons to communicate with each other!
We want a giant give THANK to Intel for the Arduino donate 101 (Curie powered) microcontrollers and Dell for us, the Chromebooks to use borrowing during this event. We would like to thank also to Las Vegas for flying Luis Montes to teach this class and help all the CTPs and volunteers for us to make this event a great success!
Last (but not least), a big thank you to Jo Moskowitz for making this event possible!
