This blog entry you through the detailed instructions for setting up Windows Failover Cluster NFS 3 as SR in XenServer 6.5 SP1.
Step 1: 3 Windows VM as Domain Members
- Deploy 3 Windows 2012 64-bit guest VM on XenServer 6.5 SP1 Get and static configure IP addresses
- disable. Firewall on all three guest VM and start the VM
- Change guest VM hostname to nfsnode1, nfsnode2, nfsnode3 and a member of the domain
- Launch RDP on Windows VM with domain credentials [1945010[
- Start RDP window node 1 VM domain credentials
- access to Server Manager => Tools => SCSI initiator [add
- target IQN and Discovery Server & auto volumes configure
- ensure that the iSCSI LUN on the available disk drive is activated (example: e: )
- Repeat the above steps on node 2 and node 3 VM
- access to Server Manager => Add roles and features
- Select "failover clustering" under features and install
- Repeat above steps on node 2 and node 3 VM
- Validate cluster on the node 1 and then add cluster (failovercluster1.ad.xenrt.citrite.net) with 3 nodes
- add Static IP cluster. Click Cluster => right click on the cluster core resources IP address => Properties. (Note: By default is Node1 IP assigned to the cluster change this IP and assign a new static IP)
- Check the condition of. rotating roller online
- Add access to Server Manager => Select role of roles and functions
- "File Server" and install
- access to Server Manager => Tools. Launch "failover cluster" Add
- role of type "File Server"
- assign a static IP server role to file. Check to switch the status of the role Online
- access to Server Manager => Add Roles and Features
- Select "Server for NFS" role and install
- access to Server Manager => Tools. Launch "failover cluster"
- access roles among failover cluster. Add File Share "File Server" The role of the "NFS QUICK"
- XenCenter Start and connect to the SP1 XenServer 6.5
- new SR type NFS add the file server IP and Share (Ex: 192.xxx:/
step 2: Start the iSCSI target Server on all Windows nodes
step 3: Configuring the Fail Over cluster function
Step 4: Install and Configure "File Server" Role

Step 6: Add the file share as SR XenServer
