We are proud to announce that Dump Truck Desktop for Windows and Mac is set updated to version 1.1! In this version, you will find significantly improved performance, memory management and network utilization.
To upgrade, just click on the logo Dump Truck in the Windows taskbar or the OSX menu bar and click on "Update Available". If your version of the application does not indicate that an update is available, you can download the latest version of Dump Truck office here and install it yourself.
The Dump Truck development team is very proud of this release. It has many improvements over our original version 1.0. We are very happy for you to discover the improvements described below!
Smarter Synchronization Algorithms
Version 1.1 includes smarter synchronization algorithms to minimize the amount of data we have to read. This saves time and disc playback also saves your CPU to make costly calculations.
Optimizations Memory
Our original version was unexpectedly hostile when downloading large files. If your Internet connection was slow, your system does not consume too much memory. If the file was big enough, it could cause the synchronization application to terminate unexpectedly. Version 1.1 has solved this problem by optimizing memory consumption to maintain the synchronization process in addition to reasonable constraints.
More equitable sharing of network resources
Version 1.0 allow a single large file upload or download to dominate the network connections and essentially starving other applications. As can be expected, v1.1 has addressed this issue and now affects network resources in a more equitable way to ensure that all operations have the equal opportunity to use the network. Customers on slower networks may have met with files never synchronization problems because the engine kept reset. - This solves this scenario by eliminating waiting times
Enhanced Messaging and Notifications
Version 1.1 provides clearer message about what the synchronization engine is done. We tell you when we try to establish a connection to the server, scanning for changes, and many other interesting and detailed States. You should be able to examine the condition expected on the menu and have better information on "what happens."
File Management Improvement Timestamp
We now Synchronize last modified timestamp on the files we download and upload. This will ensure that the original modification timestamp of your files are stored across your systems.
