You are not special; a hacker can get into your computer or smartphone. Want to know how to clean this mess?

Start by locating the portal through which the hacker got in as a browser or email program. Then, disconnect / uninstall the Internet gateway so as not to invade other systems.

  • Change all your passwords. Make them long and unique.

In addition, make sure to do these things as preventative measures:

  • have a firewall, and one that is configured correctly.
  • do not click on suspicious links in emails, even if the sender's address is the one you know.
  • do not open attachments from senders you do 't know or someone you do not know but never have a reason to send you an attachment.
  • Delete e-mails with subject lines sounding emergency or claims that you have won a prize or inherited money.
  • Having both antivirus and anti-malware. They are not one and the same but may be packed together
  • Know what your security holes are
  • can not say enough ... Make sure all your words passes are very strong
  • Keep your operating system and everything else to date.
  • If you're on Wi-Fi, be extremely careful. Using a VPN to encrypt your activities. Wi-Fi with a password does not mean it is safe.
  • Never let your device out of your sight. Never. If you think you'll never need to leave it unattended, first equip the operating system with a lock and strong password.
  • Back up your data regularly.
  • Your device must have a remote wipe options so that you can eliminate the data should someone steal the device.
