How to keep an online presence Clean -

At one point, someone, somewhere, is probably Googling you. This could be a former classmate, neighbor, someone you are trying to do business with, a parent, who knows?

Do you think that all they find is information that is truly representative of you? Maybe if you have a common name, it can be lost in cyber muddle, but the most unusual is your name (or how the first name is spelled), the easier it will be to find you. If you want a clean online presence, there are things you can do.

  • Looking on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Google yourself and see what happens in the first two pages of results. Make sure you are logged in to Google or another browser you are looking at. The results may differ vs be logged.
  • Log back and get your name again to see how the results look.

But how do you get rid of negative information and make yourself look better?

If you are the creator of the negative information, it is a breeze. Just go to your Facebook account or wherever information is unflattering, and delete it. Also set privacy settings, such as mail or image visibility limitation to select visitors.

  • The search engines. Ask the search engine to remove the results of the page. Google go here. Bing to go here.
  • Google+. Hide what you do not want others to see. Check the privacy settings.
  • LinkedIn. Make sure your profile is updated.
  • Twitter. Make the private account to prevent retweets. If you're new to Twitter, think very carefully before you tweet, tweets really move.
  • In addition to these tactics, try the online reputation management companies. They are not cheap but they work most of the time.
  • Go through all the profiles in your account and upgrade. Make them sharp, clear and without fluff or anything that does not flatter you. Add information that makes you more impressive. And use a good photo for your profile or avatar. Really, some Facebook profile pictures are ridiculous and unflattering, some even does not make sense.
  • Replace racy or otherwise negative images of you with the most respectable. Or just delete them, period, as endless selfies shouting, "Ooh, look at me in this one!"
  • Be very careful what you put photos on Facebook and Instagram. If you solicit donations, do not have a picture of you eating lobster.
  • Sign up with a nameplate site like about.me, seelio or flavors.me where you can say good things about yourself and list your skills.
  • Get your own domain name, even if you think your name is taken (use a variant), then use a reliable hosting company and develop your work.
  • link all these accounts so that visitors will be a conduit to others.
  • Subscribe to services to show your skills such as YouTube and Vimeo. See what's out there for your various talents (eg Flickr for photographs)
  • Follow the cardinal rule :. [Nemettezriendanslecyberespacequevousnevoulezpasrévélerà50000personnesauColisée
  • Oh, drink and the display does not mix. Just do not. Stop it. Really.
